The former fisherman’s house Casa Carvalho is located directly by the sea and is therefore the ideal spot for a relaxing beach vacation. The beach is only 2 minutes away. Casa Carvalho is an authentic fisherman’s house at Salema beach that was completely renovated. It offers a spacious, fully equipped kitchen that merges into the living room, two comfortable bedrooms with shutters, a bathroom with a window and large shower, a corridor with plenty of space for beach utensils, and a terrace with shaded seating under a pergola, sunbeds and sunshades. On the terrace you can enjoy the unlimited sea view, watch the fishermen returning home from fishing early in the morning or, with a bit of luck, see dolphins passing by in the ocean.
In front of the house is a small park with a fitness trail. Anybody who wants to stay fit can exercise here and enjoy an outdoor training experience with ocean view.
The cozy kitchen has two roof windows that provide light and fresh air. The windows can be opened and closed with a remote control. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, microwave, etc…
The internet in Casa Carvalho is for free and can be accessed via Wi-Fi. There is also an HDMI cable available that can be used to connect a laptop to the flat-screen TV and a satellite dish that provides access to English and many other TV channels.
The price per night covers internet, bedlinen/sheets and towels that can be changed weekly if necessary, heating, and final cleaning. If needed, we can provide a travel bed for children with bedding and bedlinen, and a high chair without additional charges.
Even during winter season Casa Carvalho is a cozy place to stay: There is a fireplace in the living room and natural stone heating in all rooms, that can easily be regulated by thermostat.

Pure relaxation....
We were now the third time in the house and would book it again immediately if we already knew whether we could go to Portugal next year.
It is one of the most beautiful houses on the square, mainly because of the fantastic view of the sea and the proximity to it.
We hope to come back next year!
Very very nice
A very lovingly and very well furnished house. The oven is a stunner in winter – within 20 minutes it is cozy and warm.
It is only 1 minute to the beach. In winter it is very quiet, hardly anyone walks past the house. Terrace with a fantastic view of the sea. We didn’t miss anything and we’d love to come back.
A dream!
The house is in top condition. We were absolutely thrilled. Well equipped, it offers ideal conditions for all weather conditions. The radiators and the stove made it wonderfully cozy on rainy days. The location is right in the middle, but extremely quiet (at least that’s how we experienced it in early November). apart from the sound of the sea nothing could be heard. Cars don’t drive by. the house is equipped with everything you need, but offers enough space for one “stuff”. The long hallway in particular is ideal for storing beach gear. Very nice was also the contact with the landlady and the chance meeting of the landlord personally at the house. We’d love to come back!

Beautiful house, great location, good facilities, nice contact with the landlady, so everything is fine – why am I writing this and making the next booking more difficult. Well, because it was great and Marion Carvalho nice. We’ll be back.
